Christmas has again snuck up on me. It does it every year. I don’t know how, but it does. Mike and I intended to make Thai Won Ahn Fudge using my Grandmother’s peanut butter fudge candy recipe I got over 40 years ago. Since I don’t have time for that, a quick second best candy that is loved by all is Peanut Butter Balls. I used Original Cinn and Thai Won Ahn to make two batches this week.
Here is the recipe and it is super quick and easy.
1 jar of your favorite Nut Fusions
1 cup of honey
2 cups of powdered milk
Use a spoon to stir together the honey and peanut butter first then add in the powdered milk. Add the dry milk little by little as you stir in with your hand. The dough will be stiff and that makes it easy to handle. Take bits of the dough, roll in your hand to make round balls and place them on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Make them no larger than two bites worth.
You can roll the completed balls in crushed nuts, toasted coconut and sprinkles. Or using your favorite baking chips create a simple chocolate or white chocolate candy dip using the recipe on their package and dip the balls to cover them.
The longer these candies sit, the better the flavor. I store them in the refrigerator with wax paper between layers. Set them out about a half hour before they are to be eaten so they soften slightly.
I hope this recipe gives you a quick, delicious, treat for this holiday season.
